AI Policy

The Journal of Literature Education and Cultural Studies (JOLECS) supports the responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing. AI tools may be used to improve language, grammar, readability, or assist in research; however, authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific content of their manuscripts.

For Authors

  1. Responsible Use of AI: Authors must disclose the use of AI tools if they have substantially assisted in writing, data analysis, translation, or image generation. AI tools must not be listed as authors.
  2. Academic Integrity: Manuscripts must represent the authors' original intellectual contribution. AI-generated content should be carefully reviewed, verified, and edited by the authors.
  3. Research Ethics: Authors are responsible for ensuring that AI-assisted content does not violate ethical standards, copyright, confidentiality, or privacy regulations.

For Reviewers

Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Manuscripts or any part of their content must not be uploaded to public or generative AI systems, as doing so may compromise confidentiality, copyright, or privacy. Reviewers remain fully responsible for the content and recommendations provided in their review reports.

For Editors

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts. Editors should not upload manuscripts or confidential editorial materials to generative AI platforms. Editorial decisions must always be based on scientific merit, originality, ethical standards, and the recommendations of peer reviewers, rather than AI-generated assessments.
